Jaadooghar Sindhudurg, a hidden getaway located in a remote Maharashtrian village started with the fundamental idea of connecting the human chord with nature, by offering a chance to its visitors to leave behind the extravagances and mechanical living of the city life and enjoy a laid back holiday amidst an abundance of fresh breeze, plants, fruits, natural fragrances and other species.

The cottages, inspired by traditional farm shelters, are thoughtfully designed to reflect abundance and simplicity. Guests are provided with eco-friendly essentials and can enjoy experiences like plantation tours, grassland walks, pottery, and exploring nearby beaches and backwaters. It’s an eco-friendly escape where one can read, practice yoga, meditate, or simply unwind to the soothing sounds of birds and the fragrance of tropical flora.

It is best suitable for people open to exploring a regional culture, connect with the villagers, and have a quiet retreat on the coastal plains. The weather conditions of the property are generally cool throughout the year as the cottages are encircled with coconut and betel nut trees.

1. Dining Etiquette & Room Policy

• To maintain hygiene and avoid attracting insects or animals:
• No room service is provided.
• No eatables are allowed inside the cottages. (Ants, rats, and other wildlife may be drawn to leftover food.)
• All meals and snacks should be enjoyed in the designated dining area.

2. Alcohol & Retail Policy

• We do not serve alcohol on the premises.
  There is no MRP counter for purchasing snacks, beverages, or packaged items.

3. Waste Disposal

Help us preserve the beauty of nature by not littering. Kindly use the dustbins provided in rooms and common areas. Please avoid discarding plastic, wrappers, liquor bottles, cigarette butts, or earbuds. If you’re able to carry back your plastic waste, we’ll happily provide extra garbage bags.

4. Access to the Property

Please note that the walk from the parking area to the entrance is approximately 200 meters over an uneven surface. Guests will also cross a charming bridge made of betel-nut trunks over a serene water stream.
To ensure a comfortable journey, we recommend carrying only essential baggage.

5. Limited Connectivity for a Better Connection with Nature

Mobile network availability may be limited. However, guests are welcome to use the host’s landline phone if needed.
To preserve the peaceful and immersive natural experience, we do not offer television or internet access.

6. Naturally Cooled Cottages

Our cottages are designed with cross-ventilation architecture and surrounded by dense greenery, which naturally keeps them cool. As a result, there is no need for air conditioning.

7. Living Close to Nature

Our property is nestled in a dense plantation, right next to the jungle. We thrive in a rich, vibrant ecosystem — which may include snakes, insects, and mosquitoes.
We encourage guests to embrace this unique experience while taking necessary precautions.

8. Set Meal Plans

We serve freshly prepared, wholesome food with a fixed menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This allows us to maintain quality and minimize food wastage.

9. Guest Identification

To comply with government norms, all guests must present a valid photo ID issued by the Government of India at the time of check-in.
Failure to provide a valid ID for all guests may result in denial of check-in at the discretion of the Host or the Jaadooghar Team.
