In order to preserve the natural resources and the pristine landscape of Leh, the hosts of Jaadooghar Leh, conscious of their responsibility, have constructed it in the most low-impact manner possible. They have done so by utilising traditional building methods and materials – the cabins have been built using rammed earth and wood. Since cement and iron have market-corrected these ancient methods, identifying skilled builders to execute this ambitious plan was not an easy task.
